Full analysis:

It's the quarter-finals of the Champions League - Best of three format. Nymburk start at home, they have already beaten Gala twice this year in the group, the first game in Istanbul (87-75 for NBK) the Turkish Americans mega underestimated them.

Sure, Nymburk have been on a roll this year, winning 10 of their 12 LM games, they have a full roster and they play in a packed Královka hall. But Galatasaray have changed 1/3 of their squad since the autumn and are definitely stronger. They are the toughest opponent NBK could face in the playoffs.

So for me it's 60/40 today, and even that takes into account that the NBA experienced guard Wallace (10pts+3reb+2as.per game in LM) is not playing for the visitors - otherwise 55-45 NBK max. The visitors still have the Italian league's top scorer Gray, who was drafted in the winter, there's Young, former Bundesliga top scorer (2019) and French league MVP Cummings (2022) etc etc. Quality in every position. Gala have now beaten Malaga and only narrowly lost to Malaga - and they really are another level away - and they are proving it in the ACB league.

Yes, Nymburk and their top defenders (Birts, Rylich and co.) have defended against similarly excellent players from Murcia and other teams, but they can't avoid the drop (see their home defeat to Nanterre, who are one level lower). The pressure will be on the Turkish club, but even NBK feel they could be in the Final4 for the first time in their history.

It is possible that Nymburk will defend well again today and go to Turkey with a 1-0 record. But I've already kicked out two units for bigger stupidities, so I'm not going to let 2.9 for the visitors to win lie. Fair 2.5.
