Full analysis:

At the end of the season, we are waiting for the biggest match of the Czech league, the Prague "S" derby between Slavia Prague and Sparta Prague. While Slavia has already celebrated the league title with a huge points lead, Sparta is in 4th place and is having a really tough season after years.

As far as form goes, Slavia, even though it's no longer a big deal, are playing very well at the moment. Two weeks ago it destroyed Sigma Olomouc 5-0, and a week ago it completed the turnaround after a great battle and beat a strong Viktoria Plzeň 4-3. Now she will face her most hated opponent, whom she will want to avenge the defeat from the beginning of the year on her home ground. The derby will actually be the last proper motivation for Slavia this season. Apart from the championship title, everyone in the club wants to boast the title of "Rulers of Prague". A sold-out stadium will want to see its biggest rival on its knees. And now is the perfect time to do it...

... Sparta is in a complete crisis on all fronts. Slowly but surely, information is leaking out that the owner of the club is also showing his dissatisfaction with the current situation. Sparta has failed to stabilise its squad and performance. After qualifying for the Champions League group stage, it's just not the same. The biggest stars of the previous seasons are playing below their potential, the new reinforcements are not fitting into the style of play at all and are rather underperforming. The situation is not good even in the coaching position.

After the departure of Brian Priske, his assistant Lars Friis took over as head coach, but he was unable to build on the success of his colleague. The players didn't seem to know what to play, and the disparity between Czech and foreign players in the team is becoming more and more obvious, which is why it is practically certain that several players will leave the club in the summer. Most likely, Friis will also be fired, as he looks really clueless. Especially in the last two games, when Sparta needed to score badly to still fight for 2nd place in the table, it was a great tragedy. Sparta didn't even make a dent on the ground of Plzeň and lost 0:2, and an even bigger slap in the face came last weekend when they had no chance against Jablonec, 1:3 on their home ground. Jablonec is now breathing down Sparta's neck and is only 2 points away.

To make matters worse, there has also been a coup among Sparta's ultras, with the ultra-right core returning to power after several years, something most Sparta fans disagree with. So the atmosphere around the whole club is really bad at the moment.

The only glimmer of hope for Sparta is the Czech Cup final, which will be played on Wednesday. In case of triumph, Sparta can at least with this trophy save this unsuccessful season and secure a good position to start in the European Cups.

As the saying goes, anything is possible in a derby, all facts are erased and anyone can win, but here I doubt Sparta can surpass Slavia in anything. I believe that today Slavia will show another great performance and will want to pull out a good performance against their rivals and show who is the Czech league champion and the "Ruler of Prague". I expect a clear win for Slavia, maybe even on handicap. However, I will go for a more cautious bet myself and that is in a Slavia win + total goals more than 1.5 at odds of 2.00. I expect a wild match, more cards, maybe even a penalty, but I will discuss this in the second analysis of this match.
